Certification Levels

The Basic level course is aimed at those users who understand the basic the concepts of pavement management and have no prior knowledge of the HDM-4 software. The scope of each certification levels is as follows:

• Basic level: Who is certified at this level should be able to work autonomously and independently in the use of HDM-4 Version 2, with a general knowledge of the tool as well as basic concepts of pavement management. They will have the ability to develop evaluations (technical and economic) and analysis of conservation projects and / or rehabilitation of pavements of roads and / or road networks.

Course content

The course has 8 topics covered in 16 hours of theory and complemented with 4 workshops, which are conducted in the hours allocated for this purpose:

1. Structure of HDM-4
2. HDM-4 Configuration
3. Configuration associated concepts, Fleet Vehicle and Road Network.
4. Subdividing Tramificación and Carretreras
5. Modeling Basics Deterioration
6. Definition of Maintenance Standards
7. Analysis of results HDM-4
8. General concepts of calibration and implementation of HDM-4.

Target audience

Professionals related to topics in planning, management, maintenance and / or rehabilitation of road projects, responsible for economic capital budgeting in road infrastructure, Professionals linked to road agencies public and private sector, funding agencies, academics, consultants and professionals interested in the management of infrastructure. 

The course has a limited number of places. The initial reservation to the course is done by completing and submitting the registration form, but space is guaranteed only once has made the payment of the course.
