After a 20 year period, the HDMGlobal concession to manage and provide HDM-4 services on behalf of PIARC is due to come to an end on 31st Dec 2025.

During the past 20 years it has been a privilege to see so many people using HDM-4 for a wide range of applications and make data-driven decisions that improve the road infrastructure for the benefit of so many road users. We know many countries have secured loans and delivered large projects on the back of studies performed with HDM-4.

We wish all past and present users of HDM-4 best of luck in their future use of HDM-4, and their possible transition to HDM5 when it is released.

Despite it's age HDM-4 remains popular today and although HDMGlobal will no longer be supporting its sales and use, PIARC have signed an agreement with TRL Software who will take over the role of supporting HDM-5 users from 1st January 2026. They can be contacted on software@trl.co.uk.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone I have met through HDMGlobal and HDM-4 over the past 20 years, and thank you all for your support.
